Hello Student/Parent/Guardian,
My name is Amie Tanguay and I'm one of two art teachers here at Franklin Co. High School. I'm originally from a small town in Northern New Hampshire but transferred to Morehead State University my sophomore year of college.
I graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education and an Area of Concentration in Art and from Georgetown College with a Master of Arts in Education. I plan to work toward my National Board Certification over the next couple of years as a way to continue growing as an educator and artist. I am Google Certified Educator and was a pilot teacher for the 1:World Program last year.
This year is my fifteenth teaching, the last fourteen have been spent working at Franklin Co. High School. My goal as an educator is to help the FCHS art program grow to a place where we can compete at the regional, state, and national level. I want to do all this while preparing out students for the challenges they face when they leave us for the workplace or college.
